The story behind the “Boo Boo” wagon is rather simple. After acquiring and refurbishing the two sedans (“Granny” and “Grandpa”), it seemed only right we have the most iconic version of the 240, the “estate” (as they refer to it in Europe), or the “station wagon”, as we refer to it here in the States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because we refer to our summer cabin as “Boo-Boo-ville” to our dogs (yes, we talk to our dogs), we figured the wagon would be the best vehicle to haul them around, and to the cabin, so it naturally became the “Boo Boo Wagon”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purchased from a nearby owner in the Richmond area, this 1989 wagon was in pristine shape when purchased. Nothing needed attention (well, except the radio, which didn’t work – it was original, so a new bluetooth-enabled head unit would be installed).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The car was given a general service in early 2023 right after purchase. It was then taken to my local stereo installer where a Kenwood bluetooth capable head unit was installed with 4 speakers. This wagon arrived with a simple cassette stereo and 2 front speakers. I had the installer put a new head unit in and 4 speakers (cutouts for the rear speakers already there, so the additional two speakers were no issue).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
